Bring your coding projects to life with the Merlin Reachy Mini AI Robot. Designed for developers, researchers and makers, this expressive desktop robot combines precise movement, a camera and integrated audio hardware in a compact platform for robotics and AI experimentation.
Reachy Mini connects to your computer through USB-C, using your computer to run its control software and process your applications. It offers a practical way to explore interactive robotics without the additional cost of onboard computing.
Expressive Movement with Personality
Nine servo motors bring movement to your projects. The head offers six degrees of freedom, combining roll, pitch and yaw with movement along the x, y and z axes. Alongside ±160° body rotation and two animated antennas, these movements let you create gestures, reactions and expressive sequences.
Program a curious head tilt, a welcoming nod or a coordinated response to an event—then watch your code become a physical interaction.
Camera, Microphones and Speaker
The wide-angle camera provides visual input for computer vision projects. A four-microphone array captures audio, while the built-in 5W speaker delivers sound output.
Together, these components provide the hardware foundation for experiments involving visual input, speech and coordinated movement. Specific functions depend on the software and AI models you configure.
Your Computer, Your Development Environment
USB-C connectivity keeps Reachy Mini connected to your development computer. Run your applications, adjust behaviours and test new ideas using your own computing resources.
The included power supply provides power to the robot separately from its USB-C computer connection.
Open-Source and Programmable in Python
Explore robotics through the open-source Python SDK. Create custom behaviours, coordinate movements and develop applications that combine the robot’s camera, microphones and speaker.
The Reachy Mini ecosystem also connects with the Hugging Face community, giving developers opportunities to explore compatible models, discover shared projects and contribute their own behaviours.
Build, Learn and Experiment
Reachy Mini is supplied as a DIY assembly kit, making the build part of the learning experience. The kit includes structural parts, motors, electronics, camera, microphones, speaker, screws, accessories and assembly tools, together with a detailed guide.
No soldering or 3D printing is required.
